Soccer Talker #1

Great couple of weeks if you are a fellow Chelsea fan. We have won the Domestic Double. The first in the club's history. Broken so many records, especially the club with the most goals in a season. Best of all, we have beaten Manchester United twice this year and taken back the Premier League championship. Blue is definitely the color.
So alot of arguments have surfaced between people and I would like to settle as much of it as possible. I will be writting about my point of views of the soccer world, and if you don't agree or would like to add anything, feel free to comment.

1. EPL vs. La Liga.
I dont care what anyone says. While La liga is interesting and Barcelona have won the Champions League last year, La Liga is not better than the EPL. The EPL is as of now, the better league. La Liga is a close second. And here is why I say the EPL is better, before anyone says I am a biased Chelsea fan.

a. The EPL teams have dominated the Champions League. This might be the first year they have not made the finals. But for the past 4 years, they have dominated the semi finals, and last year they were 75% of the semi-final teams. Lets not forget, Barcelona barely made it to the finals, and needed the referees help to make it to the finals, but that's for another day.

b. The EPL is much more physical, and tactic-minded than La Liga. La Liga plays almost no defense, and even though they try to promote the idea of "beautiful" football, they play much less physical and therefore, more free-flowing soccer. Lets be realistic. If Messi was transferred to the EPL, he would not perform anywhere near the level he is performing at in La Liga. He would be a rag-doll, thrown around every weekend by the likes of John Terry, or Vidic. Therefore the EPL is much more dominant.

c. As for the competition. The EPL has the top spot being challenged by many teams, and many more trying to b breakthrough. Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool and even Tottenham. Now, La Liga has only Real Madrid and Barcelona fighting for the top spot every year. The predictability is what causes me to be convinced La Liga is inferior to the EPL.

d. The EPL has a much bigger fan base. Need I say more?

2. Champions League

Bayern Munich. I hope they win. No I am not particularly found of them, but I would prefer them celebrating over Inter fans, celebrating that they are special, and are the best team in the world. Ive hand enough of these teams, like Manchester United, and Barcelona, claiming they are the best in the world, but the only reason they win is because some ridiculous decision by the referee. Yes, I do believe Chelsea could have been back to back Champions League champions if a decent referee was present when they played Barcelona and Manchester. So Bayern Munich, do me a favor and please deny Inter from winning it.

3. The World Cup

Please, please dont start hating on the fact that I believe England has a decent chance of lifting the trophy. Yes, I know they have alot of superior competitors in Brazil and Spain. But something tells me they have a decent chance. Capello seems like he knows what hes doing, and the English players all seem to be in form. So yes, I say England.

Its funny. Alot of guys claim to have a lot of swag. Walking around in new kicks, and skinny jeans. Honestly, I have no idea how they get into that. I tried getting into my little brothers pants, thinking it was basically the same thing, but as the pants got just above my knees, my boxers started riding up, and I was beginning to lose circulation in my leg. So sorry, but I don't think that defines what swag is. So what is "swag"? What do guys mean when they say they have swag, or that they have more swag than someone else?

Let me try and explain what swag is. Yes, I have finally figured out what it means, and this is the new official meaning. So Oxford Dictionary, and Urban Dictionary, change the meaning of this word to what I am about to define it as.

Swag is a four part word. To have swag you must fulfill all four parts, or else your swag is incomplete.

S- Style. This doesn't mean skinny jeans or new kicks that everyone is wearing. Style means whatever your comfortable wearing. Girls, this can mean you too. You don't have to wear something short or revealing to have swag. Again, whatever makes you comfortable is your style, so wear it, rep it, love it.

W- Walk. OK, this might be the most "make or break" part of the four part objective. The way you walk defines you more than you can even know. If you walk like your drunk, or like you have a limp, what respect are you going to get. Maybe a couple of awkward looks, and a few sympathy looks from people who might think you are handicapped. Walk with your head up, and as if you own everything around you. Walk with confidence.

A- Attitude. OK, I take it back. This is the most "make and break" part. Alot of guys have that ignorant attitude, and some even violent. They're hostile and reckless, and trust me guys, that isn't getting you anywhere, except jail or six feet under. Be positive. Be yourself. Your attitude is just like your clothes. Its got to be nice. Your attitude will gain more respect than your clothes though, hands down.

G- Finally, when the 3 above levels are attained, we come to the good part. Game. No, this doesn't mean one night stands, and cheesy lines to hook up with a girl. Game means, you got to know how to treat a girl right, know how to talk to her, how to approach her, with respect, I mean, you're trying to gain respect, so why shouldn't you treat her with respect? Treat the women right, and they'll treat you right in return. Game

That's the new definition of Swag. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, I have revolutionized the meaning of the word, single-handedly. So follow these steps guys, and you officially have swag.
